We went here for our first date. At the time it was Underbelly, but this concept is still owned and operated by the same chef. When it first became Georgia James, we went back to celebrate our second anniversary and fell in love with it all over again!
One of Nick's favorite restaurants! I took him here for one of our early dates and he was hooked!
This restaurant has a special place in our hearts because it's located in the neighborhood we both grew up in. We went here on our fourth date after we realized we had this in common. Our shared love of their chicken fried rice was definitely a bonding moment! After dinner, we went and toured the old neighborhood and showed each other where we had grown up. We had literally lived across the main street from each other.
Nick's parents recommended we try this place, and it was love at first taste! If you go here, you must try their pork belly appetizer.
A free garden space that we love to stroll through. There's 15 acres of beautiful landscaping and a 30 foot garden mount you can climb!
Better known as Houston's own "Bean" sculpture, the cloud column sits in the Cullen Sculpture Garden along with 25 additional sculptures by artists such as Henri Matisse. The garden is free to visitors, and if you want to continue your visit, just walk across the street to the amazing Museum of Fine Arts Houston. The museum is currently hosting a major Van Gogh exhibit featuring more than 50 pieces of his work through June 27th!
