Nope! We opted to have Reception style seating so not everyone will have an assigned seat. We hope this will encourage our loved ones to mix, mingle, and dance! If you're bringing any little ones that need a high chair, please let us know in advance.
The Napoleon House is considered a historical landmark at over 200 years old! Local preservation laws prohibit installing an elevator, so be prepared to climb some stairs. Our Ceremony and Reception will be on the 2nd floor. For more information on The Napoleon House's history check out their website: https://www.napoleonhouse.com/history/
Second lines are part of New Orleans tradition. The wedding second line celebrates us newlyweds as we embark on a new life together! The main line leading the parade for a wedding is made up of the married couple, the brass band and usually a grand marshal. The second line is the wedding party and any passersby who want to join the celebration. We are having ours between the ceremony and reception. Generally they last about 20 minutes and cobblestone roads are common throughout the area. Comfortable shoes recommended!
