Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held in a garden outdoors. The reception will take place on a covered patio that extends from a barn—while it’s technically outdoors, the patio is sheltered with a roof and fans to ensure everyone stays comfortable throughout the celebration.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 5:00pm, so we recommend arriving by 4:45.

What is the attire?

Answer

Our attire is semi-formal, but keep in mind that we will be on a farm! Dresses, jumpsuits, or skirts are perfect—just trade the stilettos for wedges or cute flats (the grass will thank you). Lightweight suits or dress shirts with slacks are the way to go. Ties are optional, but feelin' cute is mandatory!

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is limited parking available at the venue. You'll be driving up a pretty long gravel road to get there—don't worry, you're in the right place!

Is there transportation available to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! We are providing bus transportation. Pick-up will be at 4pm at the Durham Marriott City Center (201 Foster St, Durham, NC 27701). The return bus will leave the venue at 10:30pm. Please let us know in your RSVP if you plan to join us on the buses!

Please respond by Monday, April 7th.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, space is limited and we can't accommodate any guests that weren't included on the invitation.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event with older kids and teens (ages 13+) welcome to join in on the fun. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. If you need help finding childcare in the area, we recommend using care.com (they do background checks on sitters and include a list of reviews!)

What if I have dietary restrictions?

No problem at all! Please let us know in your RSVP.

Is there a bar at the venue? If so, what types of drinks will be available?

Answer

Yes, there will be a bar at the venue offering a variety of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

There sure is! Please check out the "Registry" section on our website.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you leave the cameras and phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present and soak in the moment with us. We've hired a professional photographer to capture all the special memories, and we'd love for you to focus on sharing this experience with us!

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! After the reception, we’ll be heading to Surf Club to keep the celebration going. The bus will make an extra stop there after the reception, so you won’t have to worry about transportation. Feel free to join us for drinks, dancing, and more fun—we can’t wait to keep the party going with all our favorite people!
