MADRID-BARAJAS AIRPORT (MAD)
Madrid (MAD) is the closest major airport to fly into. It is about an hour away from our venue, Cigarral de las Mercedes. More information about transportation is provided below.

To travel from Madrid Airport (MAD) to Toledo by train, you will first need to take a short connection from the airport to Madrid’s Atocha Railway Station. From there, you can board a high-speed AVE train to Toledo. Typical travel process: 1. Madrid Airport to Atocha Station Option 1: Metro (approximately 40–50 minutes) Option 2 (recommended): Taxi or Uber from the airport to Atocha Station, which takes about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic 2. Atocha Station to Toledo Once at Atocha Station, you can catch a high-speed AVE or ALVIA train to Toledo. Travel time: Approximately 33 minutes Tickets for the high-speed train can be purchased at Atocha Station or booked online in advance through the official Renfe website or app. We recommend booking in advance when possible. When searching, select Madrid Puerta de Atocha – Almudena Grandes as your departure station and Toledo as your destination.
