We’re getting married!

We met through a mutual friend. Alfredo visited his friend on occasion and on one of his visits he saw me. He pursued me but it wasn’t until months of building a friendship that we realized there could be something more than a friendship between us. We fell in love and knew it instantly. Soon after the road to our relationship was on a fast track. A few months later we moved in together. A few years later we conceived our precious baby girl Shailene. Since then we’ve built a home for our family.

We attended a family wedding. As many of you know, there is the tradition where at the end of the wedding all the single women gather to catch the bouquet. At this moment I get a feeling in the pit of my stomach. The bride attempts to throw the bouquet once. Then twice, on the third attempt she walks towards me and hands me her bouquet. I turn around and there is the love of my life on one knee. I of course said yes. While we held each other, I looked up through my impaired vision from crying and it was raining rose petals! We were surrounded by friends and family cheering us on. By far one of the most memorable moments of our lives. In fact so memorable that we conceived our son Greyson and now our family is complete. It was a night we will cherish and never forget.
