FAQs

Below are some details to make planning your trip a little easier. If you have a question that isn't covered here, feel free to reach out to Elaine at 806-559-6492. We'll continue updating this page as the date approaches.
Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place at Echo Mountain in Idaho Springs, Colorado on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 6:30 PM.

Question

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be held outdoors at the mountain overlook. Please dress comfortably and note that the weather can be cooler in the evenings – we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We have chosen to make our ceremony a kid-free celebration so that everyone (including parents!) can relax and enjoy the evening. Thank you so much for understanding.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to our limited guest count and the intimate nature of our ceremony, plus ones will only be included if specified on your formal invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with our closest family and friends.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony will be semi-formal but relaxed. Our color palette includes earthy tones like forest green or sage green, black, and beige. Guests are welcome to wear any colors they feel comfortable in, but these shades will complement the setting beautifully.

Question

What's the closest airport?

Answer

The nearest major airport is Denver International Airport (DEN) – about 52 miles (roughly 1 hour) from Evergreen, where most guests will be staying. We recommend renting a car, as rideshare options are limited in the mountain areas.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Evergreen, Colorado, about 25 minutes from the venue. A few nearby lodging options include Comfort Suites Golden West and Colorado Bear Creek Cabins. There are also plenty of Airbnb and VRBO rentals in the area for families or groups traveling together.

Question

What's the weather like in June?

Answer

Days are typically warm and sunny (highs in the 70s), while evenings can cool off into the 50s. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater for later in the evening.

Question

Will altitude be an issue?

Answer

Evergreen sits around 7,200 ft and Echo Mountain is closer to 10,600 ft. Most visitors adjust easily, but staying hydrated, limiting alcohol the first day, and getting plenty of rest helps!

Question

Do I need to RSVP again later?

Answer

Formal invitations will be mailed in Spring 2026, and guests will be asked to confirm their attendance at that time. If your plans change before then, please let us know so we can keep our headcount up to date.

Question

Are there other events planned?

Answer

Outside of the ceremony and post-ceremony celebration, we haven't scheduled additional group events. We want everyone to enjoy Colorado at their own pace! Please see the "Things to Do" tab for recommendations around the area!
