Ejay and Ruthel have known each other since childhood through their shared faith in the Church of the Nazarene. Though they grew up in the same denomination, it wasn’t until high school that their paths truly crossed. They often met during youth events within the Zone 4 District, where a friendship began to form. Back in 2016, Ejay found himself quietly admiring Ruthel — curious about her and drawn to her spirit. That admiration grew deeper over the years, and during a Christian camp in 2018, he realized his feelings had turned into something more. After four years of keeping those feelings to himself, Ejay finally gathered the courage to confess during a Pastors’ Kids Event in 2022. From that moment on, their friendship blossomed into love — and now, they are soon to be husband and wife, ready to begin the next chapter of their beautiful journey together.
