How it all Started

03.27.2015

We met Freshman year of college at Oregon State (Go Beavs!). Thanks to our sorority and fraternity being partnered for a signing and dancing competition called SING! We weren't partners, but Megan caught Ethan's eye early on. They were just friends for awhile before things headed in the other direction. Ethan got himself out of the friend zone and the rest is history!

The Proposal

10.1.2019

Ethan always told me he would take me to Paris one day. A place I have dreamed about visiting since I was little. Luckily for us, Ethan's parents surprised us with a trip to France for our college graduation present. Ethan and I would spend a couple of days in Paris, and then we would take a train to the South of France, where we would meet his Aunt and Grandparents. We spent the first couple of days in Paris seeing the sights, shopping, riding around on electric scooters, and eating a lot of chocolate croissants. On the day of the proposal all I knew was Ethan had a dinner planned. It was meant to be a surprise, since he planned the whole night. We had yet to really take any photos in front of The Eiffel Tower, so we decided to take some before dinner. Ethan loves the water so when he said he wanted to walk along the Le Seine River, I wasn't surprised. I knew we would need to find someone who could take our photo in front of The Eiffel Tower. Ethan asked this "tourist" with a really nice camera if she could take it. She took some photos on our phones and then walked on. Ethan then had me turn and look at The Eiffel Tower as he stood behind me so he could get a photo of me. By the time I turned around Ethan was down on one knee asking me to marry him! I of course said YES, and the rest is history. Oh and that "tourist" was also a photographer Ethan set up to catch the proposal, and we got a mini photoshoot along with it. Lets just say this trip to Paris was a dream come true.
