Eisan On The Cake: Joscelyn’s & Harley’s Wedding!

For Joscelyn & Harley being asked how they met has always been slightly awkward for them as they truly met under the most unique and unlikely circumstances. Joscelyn and Harley first crossed paths at Hampstead Hospital back in 2014 where they both were seeking treatment for substance abuse. Oddly enough, Joscelyn & Harley did not start talking to each other during the 37 days they spent within the facilty. On Harley’s “graduation day” from treatment Joscelyn wrote her phone number on the back of his certificate with a small note about going to AA/NA meetings together as they discovered that they lived not too far from one another. Joscelyn was discharged from Hampstead Hospital the day after Harley and received a text message from him shortly after leaving Hampstead about attending an AA meeting in Londonderry. The two met up at the church where the meeting was supposed to be taking place, but quickly discoverer after wandering the vacant church that the meeting no longer exsisted. Not wanting to immediately go home after being “free”, they sat on the hood of their cars in the church parking lot and talked, joked, and laughed for a couple of hours. That couple of hours spent in a church parking lot was the catalyst to Joscelyn’s & Harley’s friendship. Joscelyn & Harley continued attending AA and NA meetings together (that actually exsisted) and slowly started to hang out more and more after the meetings. Somehow after the meetings they frequently found themselves at Bull Moose buying cheap movies to binge watch with each other late into the night. After many meetings & movies (and also one epic trip to Six Flags) later Joscelyn received a text message from Harley late at night on September 24th, 2014 saying that he referred to her as his girlfriend earlier in the evening and he wanted to know if that was “okay”. Little did he know that she was lying in bed with the biggest grin on her face and a happy heart.
