Jose and Einass met at the bookstore during their orientation week at Northwestern Law. They were both buying their first year law books when they struck up a conversation that lasted over an hour. After that experience, they became fast friends. In mid-October, Einass was having a few bad days, so Jose sent her a beautiful arrangement of flowers to brighten her day. When Einass FaceTimed Jose to thank him, they spent hours on the phone talking about life and love. From that point forward, Jose began his steady pursuit, culminating in the borrowing of a civil procedure study guide that would change the course of their relationship forever (hint: he didn't need the study guide at all). The rest is history!
On the anniversary of the fateful day when Jose sent Einass flowers for the first time, Jose proposed to Einass. Having done military deception in the past, Jose prepared for his greatest operation ever. Laying the foundation, he told Einass he would be flying in from California on October 14th. Jose had actually flown in the day before. When Einass received a call from a local florist the morning of the 14th telling her that she would be expecting a delivery of flowers three hours prior to Jose's arrival, she did not think anything of it. She thought Jose was being his usual romantic self. Opening the door, Einass was handed flowers and a note by a crotchety old man who hobbled away as soon as she was given the package. The note contained language very similar to the original note on the flowers sent three years prior and contained directions to immediately FaceTime Jose. When Einass FaceTimed him, she was greeted by the face of the same old man who had dropped off the flowers! Einass ran back outside, and Jose ripped off his disguise in Mission Impossible fashion and got down on one knee. It was perfect!
