Ireland Airports

Ireland has 4 major airports: Dublin (DUB), Shannon (SNN), Cork (ORK), Belfast (BFS). Dublin Airport (preferred) is 20 minutes by taxi to Dublin City Center. Shannon, Cork and Belfast Airports are easily accessible to Dublin via train or car. Flying into an alternate airport will allow you to explore other regions of Ireland before entering the major city of Dublin. Norwegian Airlines now offers low cost flights to all of the listed airports. Irish Rail

Irish Rail is comparable to Amtrak in the U.S. It is the best way to travel across Ireland to other major cities. Once you have coordinated your desired travel, book your tickets! Prices will increase as your travel date nears. Early booking rates range from 10-20 Euro and can increase to 75+ Euro.

The Luas is Dublin’s tram system which provides clean, accessible and traffic-free service to the city centre and suburbs.

Rental Car

Car Rental or Taxi

The best mode of transportation within Dublin is taxi. Taxi drivers offer reasonable rates and are readily available. The easiest way to get a taxi is through the app MY TAXI (Ireland's uber). Car rentals are available but most cars are manual and cars drive on the opposite side of the road!
