When should I RSVP by?

August 1st is the RSVP deadline.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal. Gowns and tuxedos are optional, as well as cocktail dresses and suits and kilts are fab! Please note that the service is taking place in a castle which does not have any heating or air conditioning, you may want to bring a wrap or shawl for the ladies and jackets or sport coats for the men.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests are expected at Balgonie Castle 15 to 20 minutes before the ceremony, so around 11:40/11:45.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus ones were included in the original guest count, so if your date was included in that count, then yes! Otherwise, due to the bespoke nature of the reception, we unfortunately are unable to accommodate additional guests.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Similar to the date question, children were included in the original guest count, so if that is the case for you, then yes! Otherwise due to the bespoke nature of the reception, we are unable to accommodate additional guests.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at both locations, though may be limited at Balgonie Castle.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If driving is not on the table, there are public transportation options around the Glenrothes area such as busses, and taxis are also available. Set transportation from Balbirnie to Balgonie and back has been reserved for the wedding party only.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely, just please make sure to note the allergy / intolerance in the RSVP.
