We met in January 2020 right before the pandemic began, Omar approached me in Starbucks and asked for my number I originally turned him down, saying "I don't give my numbers to strangers" he responded with "Well let's make me not a stranger anymore, my name is Omar." He sat down and we hit it off right away... two weeks later we went on our first date on February 1, 2020, on that date I knew there was something special about him just the way he looked at me. We went on multiple dates in February and on March 7, 2020, Omar made it official and asked me to be his girlfriend after he played guitar for me in his mustang. Then the world went a little crazy we didn't see each other for a month and I moved back to my hometown Tehachapi with my parents at the beginning of the Pandemic. I still remember the first time Omar came to Tehachapi to see me and meet my parents, the first thing my dad said when Omar pulled up in his 2014 Blue Mustang 5.0 was, "I don't know if I like the guy but I like the car!" Shortly after that, my family grew to love Omar and so did I. On June 7th, 2020 on our first camping together at Princess Campground in the meadow we said our first I love you. After that we continued to fall more and more in love, I am so grateful for the year 2020 because that is the year I got to know my best friend we went on dinner dates with no one in the restaurant, went on hikes with clear trails, to beaches completely to ourselves, we got to know each other on a deeper level because we didn't really have to share each other with others due to the state of the world, but many look back on 2020 as a horrible year I look at it as the year I got to know my forever best friend. We did long-distance for 1 year and 1/2 seeing each other on the weekends switching off going to Tehachapi and Dinuba his hometown. Then I ended up moving to Fresno to try school there and the long distance ended. On December 27th, 2021 Omar proposed to me at T- Street in San Clemente with a heart-shaped rock saying, "Eileen will you marry me?" because the previous day my 22nd birthday he did four fake proposals two with rocks the first one he said, "I know this isn't the rock you want but it is the rock I have for you" than the other one he said, "You didn't like that other rock so I got you a bigger one." This is our story so far it is fun, adventurous, goofy, and originally us. God has blessed us with each other and we cannot wait to become husband and wife under God in the sacrament of marriage. The adventure has just begun :)
