We met the way all couples did in the year of 2021 - online, swiping right, and nervously texting for a few days. Before meeting, Sam was worried that Eileen didn't have eyeballs, since they were wearing sunglasses in all of their photos, and Eileen was worried Sam didn't have teeth, since all of her photos weren't teeth-smile photos. Luckily, all eyes and teeth were present and accounted for, and we went on our first date to... a grocery store (obviously Sam's idea). What was supposed to a couple of drinks turned into a six hour affair, during which time Sam forgot that normal humans eat dinner at normal times, and Eileen, always the trooper, silently starved. After the first date, we both knew we were pretty serious about one another - so we almost immediately threw a label on it, attended a wedding together, and met each other's families and friends. Ten months later, we moved in together (with the world's loudest cat coming along for the ride), and another two months later, we were engaged. Fast? Absolutely, but like they say - when you know, you know.
