Winter Park Resort
We love to come here and ride mountain bikes downhill, but they have something for everyone! The Gondola ($) will take you to the top of the mountain, where you can hike to scenic views, have lunch, or ride Colorado's longest alpine slide. Daily bike & protective gear rentals are also offered ($$). At the base area, kids can enjoy putt putt golf, a ropes courses, & a climbing wall.
Rocky Mountain National Park
In 2018, we took our first road trip west from St. Louis, driving the Land Rover & roof top tent out for 2 weeks of adventure. On that trip we camped in Rocky Mountain National Park & fell in love with the views & mountain air. In summer months, RMNP requires a timed entry reservation (book on RMNP site) if entering between 9 am and 2pm. Reservations for July will be released on June 1 at 8 am. White Water Rafting
Over the years we've enjoyed several exciting raft trips with out of town guests. Rafting companies near Idaho Springs provide everything you need for a trip down the river, we've done tours with Clear Creek Rafting & Liquid Descent. Idaho Springs is about an hour from each Denver & Granby. Recommended to book a tour at least 3 weeks in advance!
