Things To Do

Since our wedding falls on Labor Day weekend, Chicago will be buzzing with fun events, outdoor festivals, and great food! If you’re spending a few extra days in the city, here are some ideas:

The J. Parker

1816 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614

Located on the rooftop of Hotel Lincoln, J. Parker offers stunning views of Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. It's one of our favorite spots for cocktails and is also a great option for brunch before or after the wedding festivities.

Americano, Lincoln Park

1816 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614

Just steps from Hotel Lincoln, Americano is a neighborhood favorite for coffee, breakfast, lunch, and casual bites throughout the day.

Colectivo Coffee Lincoln Park

2530 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614

A short walk from the hotel, Colectivo Coffee Lincoln Park is one of our favorite neighborhood coffee spots. Stop by for coffee, breakfast, pastries, or a quick bite.

Lincoln Park & The Zoo

Just a short walk from our reception venue, Lincoln Park Zoo is one of our go-to spots — and it’s free! The surrounding park has gorgeous views of the skyline and Lake Michigan.

Old Town

Charming streets with boutiques, bars, and comedy clubs like The Second City. We love grabbing dinner and drinks at Corcoran’s, a laid-back neighborhood sports bar, or enjoying the best Italian dishes at Topo Gigio. For your morning coffee or a quick snack, Foxtrot and La Fournette are our go-to spots.

Chicago Architecture Boat Tour

If you only have time for one “touristy” thing, make it the Chicago Architecture River Cruise. Even lifelong Chicagoans love it. You’ll cruise down the river, learn about the city’s incredible architecture, and see some of the best skyline views in the world.

Millennium Park & The Bean

Snap a photo at Cloud Gate and stroll through the park. Stop by the Chicago Jazz Festival, a Labor Day weekend tradition in Millennium Park!
