The Bride's Special People
Believe it or not, Erika was my first arch enemy in Columbus. You see, she was "the other pretty girl" at the restaurant I'd just started working at and therefor my competition! (I know, so Mean Girls right?! We've grown up since then.) Well, more than a couple cocktails into a birthday party several months later, we hit it off, and she's been my closest and most trusted confidant ever since. And yes, she's still one of the prettiest ladies I know, inside and out! I met her husband Corey when they first started dating. Erika and I shared a studio apartment with queen size bunkbeds, and Corey was a real sport about the lack of privacy. I'd lean over often from the top to chat them up. That must have ruined a couple moments. Corey is a fantastic father and these two make an awesome team!
The Groom's Special People
I wish I could tell you how I first met Scott, but to be honest, I can't remember because it feels like he's just always been there. He is family. As kids, we had the best comic book conventions at our houses, spent endless hours getting lost in the world of video games, thought we knew how to skateboard, and had many acorn wars during the Fall months. Scott was also my go to friend to bring along during our regular visits to the lake over the Summer breaks growing up. As adults, life has put many miles and states between us, but our friendship has never skipped a beat. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Liz yet, but knowing Scott, he has picked an amazing woman to spend his life with. I look forward to meeting her at their wedding in June.
