Our Love Story

July 2015

The night was like so many nights before. My girlfriends and I got dolled up and we're going for a fun night out. Little did I know that this night would be different, this night there would be magic. Like many little girls, I dreamed of my wedding day my entire life, and the man I was going to marry. Little did I know that this night, I'd walk into the same bar I had so many times before but this time, I was going to meet the man I was going to marry. I get a little choked up thinking about how the stars had aligned so perfectly to bring us together. Over the course of the night I would come to find out that Chris and I had gone to the same middle school and high school, and even grew up only miles away but never connected. I think about all of the times we must have crossed paths in the past, but the timing was never just right, until this night. We ended that night with French fries and talks of getting together again. I woke up the next morning to a Facebook message from Chris because he some how lost my phone number...classic. I remember texting my best friend Lina, only days later saying "I think I met someone"...and who would have guessed that "someone" would be the man I'd be marrying in 4 years with her by my side as my maid of honor. The rest, as they say is history and we will always remember the night our love story began.

The Proposal

June 2018

We were taking a weekend getaway up north Wisconsin to stay at Chris's parent's new cabin. We had been to Wautoma once before and went to a delicious supper club, Silvercryst and it instantly became my favorite place. That Saturday we spent the day kayaking, and were going to have dinner at Silvercryst. The restaurant over looks a beautiful lake, so we ordered Old Fashioneds and sat by the lake while we waited for our table. We enjoyed a delicious meal and Chris asked to watch the sunset and enjoy golden hour before we headed back to the cabin. We had the pier to ourselves and when we got to the end, Chris got down on one knee. Of course, I said YES! There were many happy tears and it truly one of the happiest moments of our lives. Chris was so smart and had someone record the entire proposal and take photos! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with everyone in a very Milwaukee fashion! See you in MKE!
