It was the last day of a girls' trip with my mom and sister in Galena, IL. We had just finished eating a nice dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant when my mom said she wanted to go to a park to see some cannons. I begrudgingly agreed and we started driving to the park. Josh then called me and I picked up. We were chatting about our days when he suddenly suggested that I should go up to the gazebo in the park. I had no idea what he was talking about- this park? In Galena? My mom parked the car and I got out. I thought I saw Josh's car and so I turned to my mom and sister (who weren't leaving the car). I then connected the dots that Josh had to be here! I started booking it up to the top of the hill towards the gazebo and saw that he was there! I could not believe it. I was so surprised. Then I saw the rose petals and the sign asking "Will you marry me?"
