We first met at our childhood church. Back then, we were just two kids laughing during youth group games while fellowshipping together. We knew each other in that innocent casual way kids do familiar faces in a place that always felt like home. As the years passed, life pulled us in different directions. We’d wave or exchange small talk on the rare Sundays we both showed up, but nothing more. We never imagined then that the person sitting a few pews away would one day be my forever. It wasn’t until college that everything shifted. By some twist of fate, we ended up at the same school. At first, it was small things like grabbing lunch after class or helping each other with assignment. Each conversation felt easy. What began as friendship slowly blossomed into something deeper. We found comfort in our shared interest, but excitement in the future we started dreaming about together. Looking back now, it feels almost poetic that our story began in the little church where we learned about love, kindness, and faith. That’s where we met, but college is where we truly found each other.
