Our Story

July 2017 - Forever

We were best friends throughout high school and never thought anything of each other as more than friends until after we graduated - we soon realized our interest in each other and decided to try things out. On July 26, 2017, we began our relationship as a couple. Starting out our relationship long-distance as Alyssa went to college at St. Ben's was not easy, but definitely worth it. Aaron drove many miles to come visit Alyssa at school countless weekends. It is crazy to think that the majority of our relationship has been long-distance and we are so happy that the long drives are over - the 1.5 hour drives have changed back to the 4 minute drive. We are so thankful for all the people who have been apart of our story and are very excited for everyone to be apart of our big day on October 29th, 2022!

The Proposal

June 26, 2021

After working a wedding cater for Dickey's, Aaron made a "reservation" for us at PorterHouse, a steakhouse in Lakeville. As apart of the plan, Tom, Aaron's Dad, "gave us money" as a reward for taking a cater. After the cater, I went home to change and we began our journey to the restaurant, but Aaron "forgot the cash at his house", so we had to make a pit stop, or so I thought. Once we pulled up, I told Aaron I would wait in the car for him, as we were already running late. This is where things got interesting - he told me to come in and say hi to his parents. Being myself, I said we are already late, we can't be more late. When he gave me the look of, Alyssa please just come inside, I decided to follow, and right then and there, we began our forever. He had a rose pedal path on the floor leading to his porch where a light up sign read, "Will you marry me?". As he was proposing, fireworks starting going off (courtesy to the groomsmen) at the same place where our relationship began in 2017. After I said yes and the ring was on, I was flooded by all my family and friends. Yes - I did cry! I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. You can see some pictures of the proposal in the photos section.
