It all started at a Fourth of July BBQ at a mutual friends house in Denver. Nick was looking for a corn hole partner, and Danielle was quick to step up to the plate. They started chatting and soon realized they live in apartment buildings next to each other, both were relatively new to the area and love to try new restaurants so agreed to become “dinner buddies.” Dinner buddies quickly evolved into hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, cooking, audio book reading and travel buddies. They traveled to Colombia 3 months into their relationship, for Alex & Sebas’ beautiful wedding, where they realized they could quite easily tolerate and actually very much enjoyed being together 24/7 for extended periods of time. They took the next step by moving in together in April 2023. The year was filled with lots of camping, more paddle boarding, and ball throwing for Penny their golden doodle. Penny had learned to accept the situation early on, after Danielle succumbed to throwing her ball in the dirty Platte river, and now trades ball time with snuggles regularly. Towards the end of the year, Nick suggested a trip to Mexico (very suspicious as it encroached on ski season) where he proposed on the beach at sunset. Danielle wasn’t totally surprised, as they had designed their ring together at the engagement ring shop across the street from their place, but the thought Nick had put into the moment was absolutely perfect. That brings us to today, where we get to celebrate our love with all of you. We hope you can make it and can’t wait to share our special day with you.
