In January 2018 Franky and I decided to go to Colorado to try our hands at snowboarding. A friend of ours agreed to come with us, and off we went. We got to Breckenridge at 3 am but decided to wake up early anyway to make the most of our time. The first thing the guys wanted to do was go to this overlook called Sapphire Point. I woke up that morning feeling sick, like as if I had the worst hangover of my life, and really just wanted to stay in bed, but they were insisting that we need to go see this overlook. So we drove up the winding mountain road to Sapphire Point. I began feeling nauseous, but thought it was just from the twists and turns on the road. When we got to the location, I told Franky that I was going to hang back in the car for a few minutes to recoup while they looked around. That ended up being perfect for Franky because little did I know he was planning on proposing! He hired a photographer and walked away to meet up with him. After about 10 minutes I was feeling a little better so I got out to see this view they seemed so excited about. The view was gorgeous! It overlooked a lake with beautiful snow-capped mountains in the background. Franky and I were trying to take a selfie when a "random" man asked if we wanted our photo taken with his professional camera. You would think I would've caught on by now! As he begins taking pictures, I look over and Franky is on one knee. I don't remember what he said and I don't even remember if I said yes, I just remember being overjoyed and crying happy tears. With all the adrenaline I forgot how bad I felt. On the way back to the house, I began feeling nauseous again, even worse than before. Next thing I know I am vomiting into a bag in the back seat of the car. The poor guys had to endure some horrendous sounds! It turns out I had altitude sickness. We got back to the house and I fell asleep, feeling so sick, yet so happy. I quickly felt better and the rest of the trip was perfect.
