We started as friends after beginning to work together as swim instructors. Having moved through elementary, middle and high school beside each other, but without really knowing one another, we found that fate worked it's slow magic in bringing us together. We began our relationship on this fate's timing and we haven't looked back since. Things happen for a reason and this is something we truly believe.

It all happened on an unassuming cloudy day in Lake Placid. During a "casual" family hiking trip, we set out to trek a solo trail early in the morning, where upon reaching the peak Matt took a knee and asked Kelly to marry him. With our families secretly hiking behind us we got to share this special memory with the people we care most about and we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful and kismet moment to signify this next step in our union.
