how it started

Winter 2015

A wise man once told me to never count your best friends cousin out. 5 years ago while volunteering in college with my bff Mark Breaugh I was informed he had a female cousin whom attended Hillsdale College just 30 minutes from me in Albion. At this very moment I received permission to message Erin and I could not let this opportunity slip. On December 21st 2015 at 12:55 PM I wrote the (best) pick up line that would change my life forever “Hey I’m Marks best friend, he wants us to date and I agree you’re pretty”. -Evan

where it went

September 27, 2019

Fast forward 5 years, (the worlds CUTEST) dog, a house, lots of vacations and even more beers we find ourselves hiking up mountain top at sunset in Anchorage, Alaska. There overlooking Anchorage, the ocean and mountains bigger than I’ve ever seen with Austin and Taylor at the camera ready, Evan SHOCKED me with the question I had been waiting for my whole life with the ring of my dreams designed by himself! And best of yet, he had let everyone in the fam in on this big secret and I had literally no idea!! -Erin

hows it going

December 21st 2020

I think we all can agree nobody knew how 2020 was going to go, at all. But one thing we both knew is that we were going to be married by the end of it. As some of you may know the original plan was to make that happen in Costa Rica, but that just wasn't how it was supposed to be. For us the most important thing was that our families were present and how ever that needed to be to make that happen was the way it was going to be. We feel so incredibly blessed that we were able to make that happen and had sunshine and palm trees to go with it! We switched gears from Costa Rica to Fort Myers Beach, Fl where not only could we escape Detroit's grey winter skies but we able to enjoy a beautiful week in the sun. Austin (Erin's eldest brother) officiated our ceremony under palm trees in the backyard of a home we rented. As Jordan and Katie (Erin's other brother and sister in law) played the guitar and sung as she her father walked her around the pool and to Ev. It was perfectly intimate and everything we could have ever hoped for. We toasted with champagne and kicked off our marriage the best way we could- great wine, delicious food and dancing the night away! The day was better than we could have ever imagined!
