It was the summer of 2020. I was having a bonfire at my house with a couple of friends and a mutual friend asked if he could bring a plus one. Of course I responded yes - the more the merrier! The party was winding down and here he comes rolling into my driveway. One of the last to arrive and one of the last to leave. We talked for a while but due to moving back to Michigan and Edwin starting his journey in the National Guard things ended as our paths went different directions. About a year later, I graduated from college and moved back to Wisconsin. For reasons unknown, I sent Edwin a message and he responded. This time though he gave me an ultimatum... we were going to go on a date as soon as possible or it was never going to happen. So we tested it out. He brought me out to a disc golf course to fish (mind you - was quite a walk and I nearly died multiple times) and then brought me to the fanciest restaurant in Manitowoc - Wendy's. Now, the rest is history.
