We’re getting married!

From friends to lovers. Edwin and Maite have had a long journey. If we believed in soul mates we just might be that 😉

(Told from Maite’s perspective) Edwin had come down for Thanksgiving. I had cooked the turkey that day and had asked Edwin to hold a ring I wore everyday (one he gifted when we were just friends). We were getting ready the next day to go out for breakfast. Boondocks s3.e9 was playing on the tv. After getting ready I like to put my jewelry on. I was looking for my ring when I remembered I had asked Edwin to hold it. I asked out loud for my ring with no response. I paid no mind and added my finishes touches to getting ready. When I was absolutely done getting ready I again asked for my ring. Edwin came up to me and frantically searched his pockets for my ring. Seeing Edwin panic I felt slightly panicked too. Finally he reaches into his little pocket in his jeans and pulls out a different ring. He holds it out in front of him. I am hella confused and ask “Wait, what do you mean? That’s not my ring. What do you mean?” Edwin (btw told me freaked out about my response) then proceeds to get down on his knee and finally asks, “Will you marry me?” I am still confused with what’s going on still continue to ask, “What do you mean?” Over and over until I tell my brain to function and say, “Yes.” *sorry babe for not catching what was going on quick enough 😅*
