Fernanda heard of Edwin through her friend, who is his sister-in-law. The day of her friend’s wedding, Fernanda met Edwin for the first time. Upon first look, she was not impressed. She quickly judged a book by its cover due to his long hair. Two months later, Fernanda purchased a new Garmin watch and couldn’t figure out how to use it (thank you, technology). At the time, Fernanda’s friend and her husband (Edwin’s brother) were living with Edwin. Since their house was filled with Garmin users, it was Fernanda’s opportunity to go over and learn from the pros. When she arrived to their house, this time, Fernanda was impressed with Mr. Edwin. Not only did he have a very nice haircut, he offered her an Uncrustable and a fancy drink. Needless to say, Fernanda left their house that day with a new crush. On the man side of things, Edwin was hopeful that Fernanda loved her drink. He took pride in making fancy drinks at home and knew his skill would leave a lasting impression on her. AND IT DID. Boi-yoiiii -yoiiiiiinnnnggg. A couple days later, on April 19th of 2024, he finally got his chance to get to know her better during a group outing. There, he was able to break the ice with good food, conversation, and dancing. They both had a great time, but Edwin did not want to come off too strong. When Fernanda texted him the next day, he left her on read after a few messages. Fernanda was confused and annoyed. Why didn’t he keep texting her?? She thought her conversation was pretty entertaining. She thought maybe he wasn’t interested in her and just decided to let things be. However, a few days later, another group outing at a run club brought them back together. Edwin forced himself to do the two mile route. They started off running together and after half a mile, Edwin left Fernanda behind. She didn’t understand why a guy would leave her if they were running together. Once again, she believed he was not interested. Little did she know, Edwin sped up on the run to try to show off and impress her. He was also thinking that he needed to finish before her so she wouldn’t see how hard he was breathing. The running outing was fun and left both of them wanting actual one-on-one time. Soon after the now funny run outing, Edwin finally mustered up the courage to ask her out on their first official date on April 27, 2024. Everything changed for them after that day. They became inseparable. On May 13, 2024, he asked her to be his girlfriend. One year later, on May 13, 2025, they were married by the justice of the peace. Now, they are anxiously waiting to truly become one when they get married under the eyes of God. Their catholic marriage ceremony will be on June 5, 2026 and they can’t wait for you to join them in their celebration.
