Brandon and Aubrey met in the summer of 2013 at auditions for a show at a local community theater. Brandon was very well established at this theater, while this show was Aubrey’s first at this particular theater. (Technically, they truly met after being cast in the show.) Fast forward 8 weeks, the show closed, and they ended up seated next to each other at a mutual friend’s wedding reception. Much alcohol was consumed, fun was had, and Aubrey ended up asking Brandon to dance. Brandon smelled really good (and Aubrey is a sucker for scent), so Aubrey asked him again to dance. And then again. And since Aubrey was at the time such a newcomer to the theater group, there were MANY eyes on them. After that wedding, Aubrey was debating what she should do regarding this strange quiet man who smelled so good, so she showed up one morning to do her banking, saw him, and decided that she was going to do something. So she asked him out by writing on a deposit slip and sliding it across the counter (in hindsight, probably not the best of ideas…), left the bank, got in her car, and promptly rear-ended someone on the highway. They went on their first date just 3 weeks after that wedding where they danced, and the rest, they say, is history, and they’ve been dancing ever since.
