Let's get married!

Evan and Alyssa first met at a freshman welcome picnic which was held at Pius XI's cafeteria, otherwise known as the union. Alyssa saw Evan and thought, dang he's cute. Of course, being a 14-year-old girl, you can't just go tell him that, so you tell his friend about it. With a little help from their friend, Cory, the two started talking and a couple days later became "boyfriend and girlfriend." Well, as it usually goes in high school, that only lasted a couple months before they split. Poor Alyssa had a broken heart after Evan ended it. High school went on and they remained good friends once Alyssa found another high school boy to swoon over. As high school went into college, Alyssa and Evan remained close friends. Alyssa was always visiting Evan and their other friends at UW-Madison. Alyssa was an honorary weekend Badger but returned to Milwaukee during the week for work and nursing school. Somewhere around their junior year, the two started to feel a true connection. Timing never worked out for them and they just let it go. Until one day Evan came to his senses. He realized how much he liked Alyssa and had to get it off his chest. So, he went to visit her while bartending one day with the intention to tell her how he felt about her. Alyssa was suspicious and told Erin about Evan wanting to stop at the bar alone. Of course, Erin wanted to come visit as well. Evan chickened out because Erin crashed, but later texted her how he felt about her. Alyssa was shocked but ecstatic. The couple decided, okay let's do this and never looked back. After a few short months they were in love. They knew they wanted to spend their lives together after a little over a year. Alyssa 'patiently' waited, and waited, and waited, and FINALLY Evan proposed in June 2021 with some of their closest friends along the Wisconsin River. The couple is so excited to tie the knot and continue their journey together as huband and wife. They now have two adorable doggies, Lambeau & Queso, and are hoping to grow their family.
