During the reception, guests are invited to join the bride and groom in a festive parade-style dance around the venue. The bride's Aunt and Uncle will lead the march, followed by the bride and groom, and guests. We will follow in a winding line that may weave through the dance floor, around tables, and throughout the reception space. The Grand March is meant to bring everyone together to celebrate, laugh, dance, and kick off the party atmosphere. No dancing experience is needed — follow along and have fun! We encourage everyone to join in and be part of the celebration.
One of the special Polish traditions we’ll be celebrating at our wedding is the “Dache Dache.” During the reception, family members will lead the song and make their way from table to table collecting cash contributions for the newlyweds while guests sing along and celebrate together. This tradition is a fun and meaningful way for family and friends to offer blessings, support, and well-wishes as we begin married life. If you would like to participate, we recommend bringing a few small bills so you’re prepared when the collection comes around to your table. Participation is completely optional, and we’re simply excited to share this tradition with everyone!
