Our favorite museum in Seattle if you love pop culture, music, and movies. They have a lot of props/costumes/memorabilia from our (and likely some of your) favorite movies, artists, and shows. Megan loves the horror section and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer props. Edward loves the Blade Runner costumes and props as well as the Nirvana and Hendrix guitars and artifacts.
Our favorite beach park with views of the Puget Sound, Olympic mountains, and Whidbey Island. It has a ferry terminal that goes to and from Whidbey Island if you want a quick, fun experience that is quintessentially PNW. Don't miss the Ivar's Fish Bar for great chowder, fish n' chips, and ice cream!
A classic Pacific Northwest Lodge, home to a restaurant and bar with a beautiful view of Snoqualmie Falls. It served as the exterior filming location for the "Great Northern Hotel" in Twin Peaks, one of the first shows we watched together!
American teriyaki originated in Seattle by Japanese immigrant Toshihiro Kasahara in the 1970s. Somehow the only location still operated by Toshi himself is a few blocks away from us in Mill Creek. Teriyaki is one of Seattle's signature dishes. Try some while you are here! (Please note this location is carry-out only)
