The Traditional Latin Mass is a rich and reverent form of the Catholic Mass that has been a part of the Church for centuries. If you're unfamiliar with this type of Mass, we hope the brief overview below helps you understand what to expect during our ceremony: 1. We will exchange our vows at the beginning of the Mass, and will then continue on in the traditional form of a Latin Mass. 2. The Mass will be celebrated primarily in Latin, and many sections will be sung. We will provide booklets to help you follow along with the prayers and various parts of the Mass. 3. The priest will face the altar rather than the people during most of the Mass. 4. There will be several moments of silence where the priest prays quietly or with the altar servers. 5. Communion will be received on the tongue, while kneeling at the altar rail. We are so grateful to have you with us and look forward to sharing this sacred celebration of our marriage with you!
