We met online during the COVID pandemic. For both of us, that seemed to be the safest way to meet new people. Our first official date was the day after Christmas, 2021. COVID was still running wild and everyone was masked up! We initially met at Ponce City Market but discovered it was too crowded to social distance. Even though we had just met, we hopped in the car, and Ed drove Lisa to an outdoor shopping site, Avalon. What was supposed to be a short first meeting ended up being a five-hour odyssey of walking, talking, drinks, and shopping! Every date and day since has been just as magical and filled with new adventures.

We traveled to Lisa's brother's house to celebrate her twin niece's birthday. After an epic Peppa Pig themed party, the family stayed longer to socialize. Unknown to Lisa, Ed had already decided that this weekend would be the one where he proposed. He got Lisa's brother to gather everyone outside on the back porch for an announcement. Lisa wondered what could have been the news, not knowing it was her! As the "announcement" started by thanking everyone for coming out, Ed got up and asked Lisa to make him the happiest man on earth!
