Mexico City International Airport (Benito Juárez)

Benito Juárez Airport is the best place to fly into. It has Terminal 1 & 2, which are connected by a train. Depending on which airline you take, you will arrive to one of the two, and also depart from the same one. British Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, AirFrance and Iberia all fly to Mexico City from Europe. For travels from/through the US, various Mexican Airlines (Aeromexico, Interjet, Volaris) and most major US Airlines (Southwest, American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta, Jet Blue) offer flights to Mexico City from cities such as New York, LA, Dallas, Houston, Miami and many others. If you travel through the US, remember that you will need to hold a valid US visa waiver authorization (ESTA) and a passport valid for at least 6 months after your travel. The easiest and cheapest (by far) way to get to/from the airport is using Uber, but we have provided some other options as well. It's the same Uber app you already have in the US, in your own language and you will be charged in USD.

Taxi Gacela

Taxis Gacela is a private service from the Jewish Community in Mexico City, which operates 24/7, and can take you anywhere you need. They have both cars and vans. They are very safe and reliable. With them, you can book transportation to/from airport, hotels, and they can also organize touristic trips. Gacela's main number is +52 55 55802211. You can call this number and talk to the operator to request service. In addition, we recommend to go through Luis Covalin to organize your Gacela trips (Luis is one of Gacela's authorized drivers and he is related to Edy and has been told people may be contacting him). His direct cellphone number is +52 1 55 2564 9230. You may call him directly and send him Whatsapp text messages as well. This option will be more expensive than Uber, but cheaper than airport taxis, and you can schedule in advance.

Airport authorized taxis

If you don't want to use Uber, and didn't have a chance to pre-schedule your transportation, airport taxis (and vans) are readily available with a few options as soon as you exit the main immigration and customs areas, in both Terminals 1 and 2. The prices are posted by area, and these taxis are completely safe to use. You pay and book your taxi at the module and then as you exit the airport, you will be directed to where you need to take it. You can pay with credit card at the module. This is the concierge service from the Marquis hotel (wedding venue), and they have provided good tour options, and they also offer transportation to/from airport. They are bit more expensive (round trip for 1 or 2 passengers for 80 USD and 115 USD for 3 to 6 people), but this can easily be arranged through the hotel if you'd like to go that route. This is another good option for tours, provided by the Presidente Intercontinental Concierge, which is one of the hotels recommended below.
