How to get to Cuenca?

Answer

We recommend flying into the Cuenca airport. It is not an international airport so you will need to connect through either Guayaquil or Quito. Alternatively, Guayaquil is about a 3.5 hour drive, and there are transport vans to and from Cuenca/Guayaquil airport. However, the roads are winding, mountainous, and sometimes can wash out during rainstorms.

Do we have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, the Itza Hotel is reserved for our guests, and more information can be found in the google drive link under the "travel" page. The venue itself is also a hotel but only has space for immediate family of the bride and groom.

How to get around in Cuenca?

Answer

It is very easy to hail a taxi on the street or you can have a hotel employee call one for you. There is also a rideshare app called AzuTaxi, but Uber and Lyft are not currently operating in Cuenca.
