How we met. That is a story everyone wants to hear isn't? Finding out when a couple first met is like finding out when they first fell in love. Our story is very simple. We met in the year of 2017, which was also the year I graduated from high school and was out for as much freedom and adventure as I could get before starting off college. One day, one of my friends invited my friend and I to go boating with his two friends which were brothers. My friend and I had nothing planned that day so we agreed. We decided to all meet at the mall and were told that we would be able to spot them right away. My friend and I were very curious and confused as to what that meant. We got there first and waited for them. As they said, we were in for a surprise. We spotted them right away with their huge american flag, that was connected on to an even bigger truck, that was pulling an EVEN bigger boat! Let's just say we did not miss them at all. We jumped in, introduced ourselves, and off we went on our adventure. The drive was a little ways away so we had plenty of time to get to know one another. We listened to music and all enjoyed ourselves in some small talk. Everyone got along super well especially Eddie and I. I was very fond of his Lokai bracelet that he was wearing because at that time it was very popular and cool to have one of those since each one had a special meaning behind it. He ended up letting me keep it even though it was twice the size of my wrist. He was such a sweet heart, I noticed right away. The rest of the day was kind of a blur. Eddie ended up getting my Snapchat that day and messaged me the next morning and asked if I wanted to get lunch with him later in the day. I agreed! And the rest is history ; )
On one crispy winter night in the parking lot of McMenamins Kennedy School, my homie Tom and I were chatting about possible adventures we need to go on. Both of us really wanted to go to New York.. So just for shits and giggles we started browsing through all the apps that sell airline tickets, and to our surprise we stumbled upon a window between New Years and Valentine's Day where the flights were insanely cheap. So we decided that we are going!!! AND THEN IT HIT ME… Jenna also has been wanting to go to New York super bad and I’ve been trying to figure out an awesome way to propose to her. Next step was to figure out a way to get us all to New York without it being obvious what the goal was. Tom and I schemed for minutes, hours, maybe even days. Eventually we came up with a story about Tom going to New York on business and I’m going as his helper, and since Jenna wants to go really bad we were going to bring her along for fun. So the plan was in place. Tickets booked. AirBnB rented out. Finally we got to New York and it was the coldest, most freezing weather we have ever been in. And the first two days went by we did typical tourist stuff and Tom would get “work” calls and go to “work” meetings to keep off any suspicions. On day three in New York, we had a start to another normal day but at 5:30 p.m. we had to catch to sunset. I got an Uber to Brooklyn and we were off. Barely made it with a few minutes until sunset. Went to the dopest, most lit spot I could find, asked Tom to take pictures of us, got down on one knee, told her how amazing and beautiful and awesome sauce she was… And asked her to Marry ME.. She said YES!!!!!
