There is not, as it is not typically needed all year long. Please cool off your rooms using the windows while you are still up and use the fans while you are sleeping if in the summer. Keeping doors open at night are not suggested as in the summer season they migrate around the area and may find their way inside if doors remain open. In the evening it cools off rather quickly but please feel free to bring a fan if you are worried you might need more air. There are also retractable screen doors to help cool off the lodge if needed. Please feel free to use them but keep in mind they are very hard to see, use caution to not run into them.
Pioneer Log Home of British Columbia @ 21,000 square foot
The log structure itself was handcrafted in Canada and all the logs used were hand-peeled with a drawknife. The pioneer craftsmen from Canada and Europe finished the joints with axes and slicks to highlight the handcrafted quality, then dismantled and transported it to Arizona in (20) semi-trucks. It took (2) cranes, (8) men and (3) days to re-assemble the beautiful log work.
The roof is all copper from Arizona mines; the flagstone rock is Canadian glacial quartz that measures a "nine" in hardness on a scale of 1 to 10.
Western Red Cedar which contains the most natural oils that acts as preservatives to help the wood resist insect attacks and decay. The logs average 20' in diameter but most have butts in excess of 30".
They measure 10' x 10' and the table in the kitchen is made from granite and logs and weighs approximately 2000lbs.
The Worsley family traveled both Canada and the United states before finally settling on a property on the Mogollan Rim, not far from their family home in Gilbert, Arizona. They wanted it for their family's and their family's to come leaving it for generation after generation. The Worsley's wish for every visitors to their family lodge is that they go away with a feeling of inspiration to leave their own legacy for their family.
