Edrich was planning for his birthday vacation in North Tahoe with friends. For his 30th birthday that year, his only wish was to be married to his girlfriend Adrienne. As they were driving to Tahoe, everyone was nervous about the surprise. When they arrived, the plan was that everyone will go to the grocery store, and when we went back to the Airbnb, we forgot oil to cook so Adrienne and Edrich had to go back to the grocery store. Adrienne was so adamant about staying in the Airbnb that she said, “Since you all forgot the oil, you all should get the oil. I'm staying here.” Everyone was nervous that they could not pull off the surprise and kept saying that she was the one to leave with Edrich without an explanation. Their friends eventually got annoyed and forcefully had Edrich and Adrienne on their way to the grocery store. Adrienne eventually agreed with only one condition, that there would be food once she arrives back to the Airbnb. Instead, their friends were decorating the Airbnb with candles, lights, and flowers. When Edrich and Adrienne arrived, their friends were singing Happy Birthday and Edrich told Adrienne to go up the stairs. She rolled her eyes and had him go first because it was his birthday. Adrienne went straight to the kitchen and got annoyed that there was no food. She turned around and she saw all her friends holding candles and a cake, then when the happy birthday song was over, Edrich was on one knee and asked her to marry him. As he opened the engagement ring, he looked over to his sister and asked which finger should he put the ring on and her response was, "I don't know." He then frantically dropped the ring on the floor and everyone laughed at how nervous he was. He eventually put the ring on her finger and they were officially engaged.
