It was a warm summer day, Edna had just driven to Chico for the first time alone when she pulled into the parking lot of North Campus. While she took items to her new room, she was introduced to Rogelio...(the other Mexican on staff). It was a quick greeting but one that would leave a lasting impact.
As we started to learn more about one another, we quickly realized we truly enjoyed one another's company. It didn't take long for us to do everything together, eat in the dining hall, go on walks, doing our homework together, watch movies, or even take long drives. It took Rogelio 2 months to make things official and we have never looked back.
For the first couple years of our relationship we dated long distance. Those times had a lasting impact on the love and support we built for one another. Rogelio took many long plane rides and once stayed in an airport 24 hours just to spend the holiday together. We took many road trips with one another whether to and from Chico, a trip to Oregon, or going to and from airports, those moments assured us that our love was everlasting. Let's just say we enjoy each others company, love to snack, and have similar taste in music.
You may be wondering what happened to the third, he started off as a barn cat and now he remains an indoor cat standing guard of the fourth family member. Since welcoming Santiago Garay on July 12, 2023 at 8:36 PM the two have been inseparable. One is used as a pillow and the other as a scratching post but together bring everlasting joy and love to their parents.
Since we started dating we've lived in 4 states together, paid off student debt, took roughly 15 trips to California, and found our forever home in Washington. We beyond excited to be officially Mr and Mrs.
