Blake and Caroline met at a pool in late May 2019. They happened to have a few mutual friends and it wasn't long before Caroline made her way over to Blake to introduce herself. They ended up talking for five hours! They got to know each other over many dinner and movie dates and quickly became inseparable. Two weeks later Blake asked Caroline to make things official and the rest is history!

Two and a half years and two dogs later Blake popped the question! They were going on a trip with Caroline's family to Blowing Rock NC. Blake went to Appalachian State University, a college nearby, so he thought this was an excellent opportunity and place. After he got Caroline's father's permission, Blake decided that Rough Ridge Overlook (a place he frequented throughout college) was the perfect place to pop the question. The group set out on a hike mid-day and when they got to the top Blake asked Caroline to spend the rest of her life with him, and she said yes!
