How We Met

We met in July 2017 when I started working in the Endoscopy Department at Baptist East(for those of you who don't know, we are both registered nurses and we work together!) Several of our coworkers had been plotting to make us a couple from the very beginning. Long story short, our connection was undeniable and here we are a little over a year later ENGAGED! I had been lead to Montgomery and Andrew had been lead back to Montgomery after leaving for a short time and we know now it was for a good reason! As our relationship grew, we felt as if we were the pieces of a puzzle that had been missing. We can't wait to spend forever together and continue to GROW together!

How He Asked

12/8/18

We had planned a trip to Asheville, NC to visit the Biltmore Estate the beginning of December. As our vacation time approached, so did the threat of HEAPS of snow. We continued with our plans and were able to visit the Biltmore Estate, explore downtown Asheville, and have an amazing Italian dinner. The whole day we were dreading the decision we had to make due to Winter Storm Diego (who knew winter storms got named like hurricanes?)...to come home a day early with only one full day spent in Asheville. With heavy hearts we loaded up the car bright and early and hit the road. This turned out to be a good thing as we drove into snow and sleet, then rain the rest of the way home. We decided that since we had to leave early we would stop in little towns along the way to sightsee on the way home. One of our stops was in Tallulah Falls, GA. We stopped at a Tallulah Gorge scenic overlook with me still being upset about having to cut our vacation short. Little did I know, Andrew was about to propose to me! It was snowing and it was absolutely perfect! And of course I said YES! Afterwards, I didn't even care that we had to leave early! I was, and am, so incredibly happy! We spent the rest of our day traveling in the rain and also made a pit stop at Franklin D. Roosevelt's Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. We can't wait for many more adventures like this one!
