Whenever someone asked how we met, Alvin and I would give each other a look. Alvin would attempt to convince our family and friends it was the "Romantic section of Barnes & Noble" but after some laughs we went with the truth, "In Vegas"...on the night of his birthday. After a weekend of dancing, we weren't ready to say goodbye. I guess you can say it was the best gamble we've ever taken!

Alvin's birthday was approaching so we booked an impromptu trip to one our top bucket list cities... Chicago! We had three days to explore and a full itinerary, fueling up with deep dish pizza along the way. Day two of our trip, we scheduled Skydeck at Willis Tower to enjoy 360 degree views with the most spectacular experience known as The Ledge. At 1,353 feet up, The Ledge's glass boxes extend out 4.3 feet from the skyscraper's Skydeck on the 103rd floor. When it was our turn to step on The Ledge and take photos against the stunning backdrop, I turned around to face the camera to find Alvin down on one knee. I was so overwhelmed with emotions, I didn't answer right away. As soon as I heard Alvin say "Uhhh...Helloo...Will you marry me?" I finally said "yes!" and leaned in to kiss him.
