WEDDINGS ARE THE BEST! Especially if he's the groom's best friend and you’re the bride’s good friend. Patrick and I met at our friend’s wedding dinner party -Chris and Vicki. She invited me. We harmonized by accident with numerous long-distance phone talks and a good road drive (aka 20/20 story) to Niagara Fall. That’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. After 2 years of nothing but pure moments of love near and far, we decided it was time I moved from the hot desert after almost 2 decades. One day, with his plan in place, he joined me from Chicago to Gilbert,AZ to help me move and celebrate me with 30 more friends. My friend Joey, a wonderful host knew about the proposal and as creative as she is, she asked each one of my friends to say something “nice” about Ciiku. I was overwhelmed with nothing but the love from each and everyone. I knew get very nervous in the center of attention. When it was finally Patrick’s turn to say something “nice” he started listing all these wonderful things about me and how he said he agreed with everyone’s love for me and what they said about me. He continued to say how beautiful I am inside and out and how lucky he is to have me in his life. All of a sudden, I saw him reach in his pocket he got down on one knee in front of all my friends and popped the big question. “Ciiku, will you marry me?’ He said I didn’t say yes right away as I was breathless. But yes, I did say YES! And suddenly let my heart chatter and cried deeply on his chest in front of everyone present. Yes, they were joyful tears. Suddenly, I heard voices screaming and singing—I turned around, saw my lovely friends around us dancing and singing. To this day, I like to watch the video at that very moment since it reminds me of so much love from Patrick and the universe around me. It was one of the best days of my life!
