Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Our wish is cocktail attire for our event. Please keep in mind the ceremony is taking place in a church so please respect appropriate lengths and coverage. Please no jeans/denim. Please refrain from our wedding party colors which are white, ivory, and light blue.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony - The processional is at 1:00pm sharp. We ask that you arrive by 12:40pm to make sure you have time to park, catch-up with family/friends, and find a seat before the start of the ceremony. Cocktail hour - Cocktails begin at 4:00pm. Please do not show up early, drinks will not be served For the reception - The same location as the cocktail hour (so no worries you will already be there!)

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception venues are indoors. The reception venue is located at a beautiful botanical garden and you are welcome to walk the outdoor property for photo ops or just to explore.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Due to the ceremony being celebrated in a church, we ask that all guests keep cellphones put away throughout its duration to be fully present in the moment with us. We have an amazing photographer lined up who will get all the shots you could possibly want, and we will gladly share these pictures with you when we receive them.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar. No outside alcohol is allowed on the premise. Please drink responsibly. And remember the drinks are on us, but the hangovers will be on you!

Question

Can I plan on Ubering?

Answer

This is a very small area so there are no Ubers, Lyfts, or anything of the sort.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be served buffet style. We have picked out some great stuff and are excited to share it with you! If you have any dietary restrictions, please let Katie know ASAP so she can make sure you have something yummy to eat

Question

What do I do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

There is a short gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. There are a few towns in between the venues that host a variety of bars, restaurants, and other things to do in-between the events. We are looking to form a bit of a list with things to do, so please check back later.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to our guest count, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally included on your Invitation. Save the Dates did not include all plus ones, so please feel free to reach out if you believe that we may have forgotten someone.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

We love all your kids so, so much! Unfortunately, the expansive nature of the venue is not particularly meant for children. Instead, we have decided that our wedding will be a child-free event (aside from those in the wedding party) so that we are all able to kick back, relax, and enjoy ourselves.

Question

How do I RSVP? When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are collecting them via this website. Please RSVP by May 1, 2026.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Princeton, IL as this is the location of the reception. There are a few different choices of hotels. There are also plenty of AirBnBs and Vrbos in the area. Please check out the travel tab on this website or contact us for our recommendations

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend rental cars for those who are flying-in as this is a small area where Uber/Lyft are not available There are plenty of small airports nearby such as Quad City (Moline), Gen Downing (Peoria), Chicago-Rockford, and Central IL (Bloomington). Moline is our personal favorite and has a direct flight to/from Las Vegas on Thursdays and Sundays through Allegiant. The Chicago airports (Midway and O'Hare) have more flight options, however, these would require a bit more of a drive once you land. Please see the "Travel" tab for more information
