Edgar and Veronica's friend Ioanna was moving back to Europe so Veronica helped organize a surprise going away party at her house. Edgar was invited through another friend in common and joined late after work. When he arrived, a pair of friends immediately went to work to get him to talk to Veronica. He heard her wifi password was 'Viva Italia' and asked her if that was actually it. She, with a slightly confused look, confirmed, yes. With a large grin, he said "Well, when my mom helped create my email when I was younger, and she made my password 'Viva Mexico'!" The rest is history. Ioanna, amica di Edgar e Veronica stava ritornando in Europa, cosi' Veronica decise di organizzarle una festa di commiato a sorpresa a casa sua. Anche Edgar fu' invitato tramite un altro amico in comune e si uni' alla festa dopo il lavoro. Quando arrivo', una coppia di amici fece di tutto per farli conoscere ma solo quando qualcuno chiese a Veronica la password wifi di casa che era "Viva Italia". Edgar sentendola le chiese se fosse effettivamente stata quella e lei con lo sguardo un po' interrogativo confermo'. Edgar con un grande sorriso replico' "Beh, quando ero piu' giovane e mia mamma mi aiuto' a creare la mia prima email sai cosa scelse come mia password? 'Viva Mexico'." E da quel momento inizio' la nostra grande storia.

The night they met, Veronica noticed Edgar's phone background was a picture of his family dog, Roxy, and without thinking much of it, mentioned that it resembled her friend's old dog. The day after, Veronica and Edgar met with friends to watch the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Veronica brought up Edgar's phone background as the friend was there with them and she wanted to show her the resemblance. Her friend Dani looked at his phone and confirmed that his dog looked a lot like the puppy she had, Rae. Edgar casually mentions how one of Roxy's nicknames is "Roxy Rae" because her previous owner called her 'Rae'. At that moment, everything starts clicking for Veronica. She said, "Wait, don't both of your parents live in Katy?" Then, her friend looks at Edgar, and says "Wait... is your aunt, Alejandra?" Edgar responds "Yes...?" And immediately it clicked for everyone. Edgar and his family had adopted Rae from Dani and her family, through his aunt Alejandra, who was friends with Dani and her family. To this day, Veronica says that Roxy loves her the most because she has known her the longest. Senza pensarci troppo disse che assomigliava ad un cane che aveva avuto una sua amica. Il giorno dopo, Veronica ed Edgar si incontrarono ancora con alcuni amici per vedere in tv la sfilata di Victoria's Secret. Lei chiese ad Edgar di far vedere alla sua amica Daniela la foto del suo cane per mostrarle quanto era simile al cane che aveva avuto lei. Daniela guardo' la foto e disse che effettivamente sembrava Rae il suo cucciolotto. Edgar preciso' che anche uno dei nomignoli di Roxy era "Roxy Rae" perché il suo precedente proprietario l'aveva chiamata cosi'. In quel momento tutto fu' più' chiaro e Veronica chiese: Ma i vostri genitori non vivono entrambi a Katy? Daniela guardo' Edgar e disse, aspetta...tua zia e' Alejandra? Edgar risponde, si! Tutte queste coincidenze non potevano essere casuali, Edgar e la sua famiglia adottarono Rae da Daniela tramite la zia Alejandra, amica anche della famiglia di Daniela. Da quel momento Veronica dice " Roxy ama più me che Edgar perché mi conosce da quando lei era una cucciola"
