This day trip is a must during your stay in Medellín. La Piedra del Peñol is a massive rock with 702 steps to the top, and trust us, the climb is totally worth it. The views from the top are absolutely stunning!! We made it to the top ourselves and promise, the climb is not as tough as it sounds! While El Peñol is a must-see, we highly recommend strolling through the town of Guatapé itself. With its colorful streets, charming balconies, and great food, it's a perfect pueblito to explore! We had a delicious dinner in town! Don't miss out! Explore on your own or hire a local guide to take you up the rock, around town, and on a scenic boat ride across the reservoir.
