Our Story

It all started when Jessica needed help with her taxes and came to me. I thought she was cute and asked for her number, after I gave her the biggest tax refund. (just kidding). Our love story actually started very slow. We first met through a mutual friends Friendsgiving back in 2018. At that time, we were not looking into anything romantically, yet alone, starting a relationship. Shortly after, unbeknown to us, we were set up to go on a blind date to see Wicked The Musical. We didn't think much of it other than possibly forming a friendship. As time passed, our friendship and outings grew, and so did our feelings for each other. We became "boyfriend and girlfriend" on October 2019, after attending a Reik (Spanish pop) concert at the Greek Theater. We sang our hearts out to "Tu Mirada" y "Yo Quisiera". Fun fact, Jessica had told Edgar early in their dating days, "seeing & recognizing a look" on him as if they knew each other from another past life. After Googling what that meant, Jessica knew Edgar was someone special and was here to stay for the long haul. Learning about our similarities, values and endeavors was one of the things that attracted us the most. This lead us to fall in love, knowing that we couldn't see life without one another. After many years of dating, traveling, exploring, trying new foods, and being supportive to each other in our many daily adventures and future aspirations, it was time for the next chapter of our lives to unfold. One day, Edgar decided to talk to his mom & aunt about his feelings and mindset. Following that conversation, Edgar knew what his heart wanted to do next. Edgar decided to take the biggest step of his life and asked Jessica's parents for their blessing to marry her. On June 7, 2023, Edgar planed a beautiful proposal in a little private boat off the coast of Taormina, Sicily in Italy where he got down on one knee and asked Jessica for her hand in marriage. Jessica answered and said "Yes, I thought you would never ask."
