35 years!

It is a truly a test of love and faith...that for the last 35 years, we wake up each morning and see the same faces ...as though it were the first....but minus the wrinkles, the scent of Ben-Gay and sometimes, the annoying "kalabit" of Ace and Shin, our 2 grandkids. We are lucky and blessed to have reached this point in our married life, and we thank the Almighty and our parents for guiding us through. - "Edgar and Aura"

Because you have shared in our parent's lives by your friendship.... and showered them with your love and care, we would like you to join the family in a celebration/party on the exact day our dad and mom were married 35 years ago. Their wedding was many many years ago ...and they did celebrate their 25th Silver in 2009 with a renewal of vows and a party..... let's continue the party on their 35th. - "Joseph, Angel, Gabbie and Mara"

Here's a brief story as told by our parents: They met in Cavite City on Sep 27, 1982 (alam pa nila yong exact date!) through a mutual friend.....Aura, a new M.D. grad was working/training at Cavite Naval Base Hospital and Edgar/Kid, who was also new grad from PMA class 81, was assigned in a ship stationed in the same base. Since the city was small, their getting to know you and dates were limited to eating out at Chefoo Restaurant, playing tennis at the base and riding the 1 hour non-airconditioned Saulog bus to Lawton (Ganon!) (Wala pa daw FB, IG or cellphone noon...may PLDT line nga, may party line naman daw). When Kid's ship was deployed in northern and southern parts of the Philippines, he communicated with Aura through RCPI telegram (parang text message daw, pero per word ang bayad). After one year and six months from that date, they got married on March 17, 1984 at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Project 4, Quezon City.

Two became three when Joseph Victor was born on Nov of 1984....Maria Angela followed soon on June 1986. After 5 years, Marie Gabrielle was born on July 1991.....Then after 6 years, Mara Francesca was born on Dec 1997. 21 years of their married life were spent in Project 4, Quezon City......they migrated to the US in Dec 2005 (leaving behind Aura's 20+ years of pulmonary medicine practice and Kid, a naval Captain, retired after 25 years of military service),......they resided for a year in Carson before settling down in California Heights in Long Beach, which they now call their home.
