Goodwill Messages

Meet our friends who will be doing us a great service walking down the aisle with us or cheering us from the stands. We love them so dearly.

Fatima Ademuyiwa

Maid of Honor

My ride or die ... So excited Kemi has found her together-forever. Not sure when Not sure when but I know it was sometime in August 2013. School brought us together and ever since then Kemi has been nothing but a friend and sister to me. We went from graduating, to getting our first and second jobs at the same place and at the same time. It’s 2020 and here we are. I couldn’t be more happy to see my sister make this next amazing step in her life and live her forever with Edet. Congratulations sister girl and I can’t wait for us to live this next phase of our lives together

Mfon Uko

Best Man

I met Anku in my 300 Level at the University of Uyo. Where do I begin from: Is it the numerous trekking from G-Line to B-Line and back simply because our gist wouldn’t just end? Is it the numerous play station Football game we played, just to prove I am better than you? We have grown from acquaintances to friends and now to brothers. Talking of the Spiritual beauty you bring to our friendship, I cannot thank God enough for bringing you my way. As iron sharpens iron, so we have sharpened each other’s life over these years, and with Kemi at your side, it can only get better. I know you will make a good husband to Kemi and a remarkable father to your kids. I know, as Christ is the foundation of this marriage, thousands are gonna be chased by you two. I wish you two a beautiful home.

I still remember the first day i came to Canada it was a cold night, the snow was bellowing and i had a lot of mixed feelings about how things were going to turn out cause at the time i had only spoken to aunty Kemi once but upon meeting her i felt all of them go away. The kindness and love she has showed is almost unreal. I immediately felt like her long lost handsome 😌 younger brother it really felt like i could tell her anything, any worries, any doubts and she would always give me the best possible advice and always reassured me that she was proud of me and that most times got me through some stressful times. So here i am Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness and may your years ahead be filled with lasting joy, peace and prosperity.

He was a fresher who was looking confused ... Lol (attack me later) and then I sighted him. Walked up to help and contrary to my thought, my man, Edet, had everything figured out. We got talking and boom! That's my man, I thought to myself because we seemed to share the same academic objective. 16 years later, we are still good buddies. Enough of the intro. I am happy for you Edet. He has finally answered the one question I always asked him every year: ' Bros, when u wan marry? ' . It's finally happening. One thing is certain: the bride is fortunate to have you as the groom. Anku or Kwatex as I call him is a man with a big heart, godly and reliable. I wish you a home filled with love, peace and bliss. Congratulations my man. Enjoy the ride!

I remember the 1st day I met Kemi in 2013, she was like a lost puppy in school and that was how the journey of sisterhood begun. It’s been indeed a wonderful journey that I pray will never come to an end. She is that amazing friend every one should have. ( if I start explaining I prob won’t finish). Though we may not talk every day or stay close to each other, but She is one the few I hold dear to my heart. My love as you begin this journey of marriage I pray God gives you wisdom, stronger bond of unity in your home, unending joy and peace and above all the strength to love your husband (as that is God greatest commandment). I love you Ispikin 😋

Kemi and Anku, congrats you guys! As you start this life long journey of love, commitment and sacrifice I pray God gives you the grace to have a blissful marriage filled with patience, understanding and lots of forgiving. You remember that group WhatsApp call we made? I liked how you two vibe and hope you continue to vibe that way. Please don’t forget to cherish the little moments and each other. Kemi, lest I forget, you promised you were going to help him improve on his culinary skills so he won’t be making only sandwiches for us. 😁 I will be following up for progress report All the same, I wish you the best as you begin your life together. May God bless your marriage. Thank you for inviting me to share in your joy. Congrats again! Sincerely, Barry

I’ve known Anku for more than a decade. We are basically family. He’s the perfect bean picker, engineer with a sprinkle of a funny character. Over the years, I’ve seen him grow. He is selfless. He’s been a blessing to his friends and family. Last year when I visited Canada, we attended a friend's wedding. He stylishly informed me about his fiancee. He went further and pointed to her, a beautiful lady serving God as a usher. After service, I finally got to meet her. We had a chit chat, and I fell In Love with her personality. Just like Anku, she’s nice, and warm. I’m so happy for their decision to come together as husband and wife. . I’m happy they put God first. Serving God pays. God bless you guys. From Eme Umana

I met Kemi in 2013, on a cold winter evening, walking and looking confused, I easily figured she was new in Canada and probably needed help... I approached her, asked her a few questions and we were able to sort things out.... Kemi has been, and is still an amazing person, smart, beautiful in and out, very diligent and hardworking and overall great friend. Kemi has always been a source of support to me whenever she could, both personally and otherwise. She has made being the head of Ushering department easier with her constant support; assisting in every way possible. I mean she’s more like a selfless super human. I wish you all the best in the world, as you embark on this new phase of your life... May your home be filled with lots of love, joy, peace and Gods presence.

I met Edet in Regina about 5 years ago. I was new to Regina and to the church we both attended. The first thing I noticed was his fluent Yoruba- better than that of an original Yoruba girl (haha, that's me). Anyway, we quickly became friends as he was quite helpful in helping me settle in to the city. And over the years, even though we both have since moved away from Regina, we kept in touch. It was during one of these once a year visits last year that I met Kemi for the first time. And I knew that Anku had indeed found "a good thing and obtained favour from God". Kemi and Edet, may love continually uphold you. May you enjoy abundant peace and may your home be filled with the sound of little feet and lots of laughter. May God bless your home and all that concerns you! Congratulations!!!

Uduak Edet

Groom's Friend

I have known Anku for close to 20 years. From just a guy that came to make noise in my room to becoming room mate. Now, not a week pass that we don't chat or talk. Anku is the type of friend anyone would wish for: humble, smart, focus, supportive, reliable, and genuine. Although I try to act like an older brother, practically, I feel he does a better job than I do in this capacity. I am so happy that you have found your better half. May God grant both of you all of life's blessings as you embark on this wonderful union. Welcome onboard!!

Yay!!!! My “people” are tying the knot. Good good match Edet was the only person that responded to my inquiry on LinkedIn before I arrived Canada as a newcomer and he still made out time to visit me at my Airbnb after I arrived. He was most helpful inensuring that I settled in nicely, and that tells me the kind of man he is - selfless, caring, trustworthy and has a lot of integrity. I have no ounce of doubt that Sister K has found a gem in a man and I wish their union abundant blessings. Dozie

Kemi, Ore mi as I fondly call her is my day one! Omo to loyal pa, kind hearted and smart. Our friendship is 10 years plus but it feels like I've known her all my life. I would practically drag her to every engagement and outings I have including church programs. Kemi would attend these events without complaint just to make me happy. Even when she relocated and it seemed distance would put a Barrier to our friendship, we've always found ways to stay in touch. I screamed when she told me of her forthcoming wedding because I've been hounding her about this. I wish you happiness and joy in your marriage. I pray that things of joy and celebration will not cease in your home. Your boo has got the best girl ( after me ofcourse, hahaha). I love you girl!❤

Lade is my awesome sister from another mother. Met her at a volunteering organization called Slum2School where we put smiles on children's faces. We shopped, ate, laughed, cried and hustled together. We journeyed through life together and she taught a vital quote I use everywhere I go "No matter the situation, always leave on a good note". I love you sincerely sislv and I wish you blessings, love, joy, laughter, peace, God's blessings and favors as you begin this next chapter of your life. Wish I was there to share every moment with you, sislv. Love you always. Kisses

I have known my Aunty Kemi for what feels like a lifetime. The first day we spoke, I knew she was someone that I wanted to get to know and after I tasted her mom mom, I knew we had to be friends. She gives her very best to whatever she puts her mind to. She embodies wisdom, strength and compassion in a way that only a true daughter of God can. Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard the wonders that God will do through her and her home. I pray that the Lord will make himself the centre of this marriage. There will be joy unspeakable and peace on every side. I am so happy for you Aunty Kemi because you deserve every good thing is coming your way.

I’ve known you for about 22 years if I’m not mistaken. I remember your mum used to call both of us ’agric’ I guess because of our size... How I used to come to the house or mummy’s shop... When you went to serve in Zamfara... I don’t know what to write but you have taken this bold step... The Bible says that “He that finds a wife finds a good thing” You have been found because you are a good thing... you WILL remain so. When the LORD blesses, He adds no sorrow.. your marriage shall be blessed... it shall be fruitful... Children are the heritage of the Lord... you shall have them. And they shall call you blessed. Regret will not be in your dictionary... in times when marriages seem not to last, longevity will be your testimony. I’m emotional 😭 It is well with you dear friend..
